Bible Memory Verses: 1 & 2

For this year, I have purposed in my heart to memorize a Scripture verse every month.

For the month of January, I memorized,

"The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."
Exodus 14:14

For the month of February, I will be memorizing,

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes,
always perseveres. Love never fails.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8a

Are you memorizing any scripture this month? I would love to read about it?

Speaking of love, Ali over at Surrendering All of Me is hosting a Love Is challenge. I have been edified in reading her posts on love and have learned from them as well.

  1. I am having a verse & photo contest over at my blog.

  2. Ohhh wow! I so totally love that picture! I might steal it from you for one of my posts... Ok. Oh wait love is kind and that not very kind, oops.

  3. I'm trying to memorize Colossians 3 this year. So far I have the first 6 verses down, and pretty much the 7th, but they're all short. Let's hope the rest goes well. ;)
Great verses you're learning! Hope it runs smoothly for you. =)

"And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." PhilIppians 4:8
