"Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
I was in prison and you came to visit me,
Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.’"
~Matthew 25:34-40
Oh, I just LOVE this passage: so piercing and eye-opening. I want so badly to go out there and help the needy, but it seems like I don't know how to start. Praying and spending time with Jesus does help. And, I do find little ways to help/
ReplyDeleteSorry, I submitted that last comment without finishing it. ;) I do apologize.
ReplyDeleteSo, I was just going to say that I do find little ways to help by doing Operation Christmas and different things like that. The Lord is faithful.
@Lily Marie I have participated in Operation Christmas Child too. It has been a blessing to give to others. Jesus even said, "And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones who is my disciple, truly I tell you, that person will certainly not lose their reward.” Giving someone a cold cup of water is simple, but a blessing.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
The Lord sure is faithful!
