Memorial Day Memories

During Memorial Day, do you feel patriotic in some way? I do. Freedom isn't free and the lives of many were lost fighting for our freedom. A brother in Christ from our church was a marine years ago. I still haven't asked him to retell war stories, but there is always time for that. Thanks to brave men and women like my brother in Christ, John, we can peacefully have little BBQs in our backyards, and that's exactly what I did.

Here are a few of my Memorial Day memories:

our friends have a grapevine in their backyard

and they've planted a garden of carrot, spinach, and tomato

lovely lemon tree

these two driving around

Sam shooting hoops

Mary's shades

Marcos' sneakers

What Memorial Day memories do you have?

  1. We certainly had a lovely time at the brother's house. Being able to share with Alexis and his family before they left on their missionary calling was def. a memory maker.

    And all the great food....yummm!

  2. Kianna I haven't come to visit you over here in a while smh.....shame on me. But I was pleasantly surprised to see this post. We had a great time and you guys are always welcomed to come, eat and def. take pictures. Don't forget to tell John to retell war stories I still have lots of laughs at the silly things his friends and him did to de-stress on their "off" time. Lovely pictures by the way.

"And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise." PhilIppians 4:8
